EU identification mark
EU Identification Mark comprising
UK - country code
AZ020 - establishment code
EC - European Commission indication

You are at The Tracing Paper > Food Tracer

Decode your food in 3 steps

  1. Find the EU identification mark code on any EU meat or dairy product.
  2. Enter the code in the Food Tracer search to find the corresponding food producer and site.

    Please note

    • The Tracing Paper search currently only works for UK codes (as detailed in the resources below).
    • For other country codes, check the list of national codes or try the above search across the whole web.
    • For best results, omit the ‘EC’, ‘UK’ and any preceding ‘0’s and leave a space between the alphabetic and numeric parts of the code (eg ‘AZ 20‘ for “UK AZ020 EC”, ‘5007‘ for UK 5007 EC).

  3. Use The Tracing Paper’s custom Food Industry Search to find further information on your food’s producer - or just follow the custom search link from the producer listings.

    Hi

I am after a comprehensive list of all yoghurt and fromage frais products on
    the current market.

I also need the health mark for each product, can anybody help with this?

    Thank you

Helen - if you download the source spreadsheet for the list of UK dairies (available from the Food Standards Agency milk and dairy page) you’ll see that each establishment is listed separately for each product. This means you can easily filter / sort the rows and extract the details of those producing yoghurt and fromage frais. This will give you the producers and their health mark numbers - but not the product names.
